Folly Beach

Known as the “Edge of America”, Folly Beach is just 20 minutes from Downtown Charleston but culturally a world apart. The 2,700 full time residents pride themselves on the relaxed and laid-back nature of this beautiful barrier island, with expensive marsh views, meandering waterways, and the best surf break on the southeast coast at the Washout. In the summertime, the island population swells with vacation renters and daytrippers taking in all Folly has to offer. Oceanfront homes here start around $1,500,000 and a funky little beach cottage will set you back about $500,000.
